Melanotan II
Synthetic melanocortin peptide for enhanced skin pigmentation and UV protection.
What Is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic analogue of the naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, developed alongside Semax at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. While Semax was designed for cognitive enhancement, Selank was developed as an anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) agent – and it has been prescribed in Russia since 2009 for generalised anxiety disorder and neurasthenia.
What makes Selank remarkable in the anxiolytic space is what it doesn’t do: it reduces anxiety without sedation, without tolerance buildup, without dependency risk, and without cognitive impairment. Benzodiazepines (the standard pharmaceutical anxiolytics) provide anxiety relief but at the cost of drowsiness, impaired memory, addiction risk, and cognitive fog. Selank provides comparable anxiety reduction while actually enhancing cognitive function – a combination that no traditional anxiolytic achieves.
How Selank Reduces Anxiety
- GABA modulation: Selank enhances GABAergic transmission – the brain’s primary inhibitory (calming) system – but through allosteric modulation rather than direct agonism. This means it increases GABA’s effectiveness without the blunt suppression that causes sedation and dependency with benzodiazepines.
- Serotonin regulation: Selank modulates serotonin metabolism, stabilising the neurotransmitter most directly associated with mood, emotional resilience, and well-being. It inhibits the enzyme that breaks down enkephalins (natural mood-elevating peptides), prolonging their positive effects.
- Dopamine stabilisation: By balancing dopamine levels, Selank prevents both the apathy of low dopamine and the restlessness of excess dopamine, contributing to a stable, focused emotional state.
- Immune modulation: As a tuftsin analogue, Selank retains immunomodulatory properties – it can normalise the production of inflammatory cytokines that are often elevated during chronic stress and contribute to anxiety symptoms. This mind-body connection makes Selank uniquely effective for stress-related anxiety.
- BDNF increase: Like Semax, Selank increases Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, supporting neuroplasticity and cognitive function even while reducing anxiety.
Selank vs Traditional Anxiolytics
The comparison with benzodiazepines highlights Selank’s advantages: equivalent anxiety reduction without sedation, no tolerance development (the dose doesn’t need to increase over time), no physical dependency or withdrawal risk, no cognitive impairment (actually enhances cognition), and no interaction with alcohol. For individuals seeking anxiety relief who cannot afford the cognitive costs of traditional medications, Selank offers a compelling alternative.
Who Benefits from Selank?
Selank is ideal for individuals with generalised anxiety who want relief without sedation, professionals who need to remain sharp under high-stress conditions, those experiencing social anxiety who want confidence without impairment, people transitioning off benzodiazepines who need non-addictive support, and anyone with chronic stress-related inflammation affecting mood and well-being.

How to Use Your Peptides
A complete visual guide to preparing, reconstituting, injecting, and storing your peptides safely. Follow each step in order.
Preparation
Gather your supplies: peptide vial, bacteriostatic water, syringes, alcohol swabs, cotton ball, and bandage.
Remove the plastic caps from both vials to expose the rubber stoppers.
Wipe the top of each vial with an alcohol swab. Let air-dry.
Reconstitution
Draw the required amount of bacteriostatic water into the syringe. Use our calculator if unsure.
Inject the water slowly into the peptide vial, letting it run down the inside wall. Do not spray directly onto the powder.
Gently swirl the vial until the powder dissolves. Do not shake.
Check the solution: no undissolved particles, no bubbles, clear liquid. If not, wait and swirl again.
Draw your dose slowly from the reconstituted peptide vial.
Injection
Hold the syringe needle-up, flick to move air bubbles to the top, and push the plunger until a small drop appears.
Choose your injection site: belly fat around the navel or outer thigh. Rotate sites between injections.
Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab.
Pinch a fold of skin at the injection site to lift the subcutaneous fatty tissue away from the muscle.
Insert the needle at a 45° angle into the subcutaneous fatty tissue, usually approximately half the needle length. Do not inject into muscle. Inject slowly.
Aftercare, Storage & Disposal
Withdraw the needle and press a cotton ball gently on the site for a few seconds.
Apply a small bandage.
Dispose of the needle in a sharps container.
Store reconstituted peptides in the fridge (2-8 °C). Avoid freezing and direct sunlight. Use within 90 days.
Category-Specific Dosing Guides
Like many tanning & pigmentation peptides, MT-II is commonly used with a loading and maintenance approach. The loading phase is intended to build pigmentation, followed by less frequent dosing to maintain results.
Reconstitute
Add 2ml of BAC water to the 10mg vial, producing a concentration of 5mg/ml. At this concentration, each 5-unit mark on a U-100 insulin syringe delivers 250mcg.
One 10mg vial provides approximately 40 doses at 250mcg, which is typically sufficient for both the loading and maintenance phases.
Loading Phase (Weeks 1–4)
Early dosing typically falls within the 100-250mcg range. The dose is then increased to 250-500mcg daily. Subcutaneous injections are often taken in the evening. Brief UV exposure (10-15 minutes) every 2-3 days is commonly used alongside MT-II and helps activate melanocytes.
Maintenance
Once the target pigmentation level has been achieved, dosing will usually be lowered to 250-500 mcg once or twice a week, possibly even less than that.
It is common for users to maintain their pigmentation by taking doses every 1-2 weeks, along with some occasional UV exposure.
Managing Nausea
Nausea is regularly reported during the first few days when doses are high. Some of the approaches include taking a lower dose (100-250mcg) initially, injecting in the evening time, taking an antihistamine 30 minutes prior to the injection, and having a light meal about an hour before the procedure. Many users report that nausea decreases during the first week as tolerance develops.
Natural-looking tan developed within 10 days with minimal sun exposure. Loading phase worked exactly as described. Quality product.
Works well for tanning. Had mild nausea on the first dose but it passed. Now on maintenance and the tan is holding great.
Fair skin and this is the only thing that gives me a real tan. Third order - always consistent quality from Morpho.
Good product. Tip: start with a very low dose to gauge your reaction to the flushing. Builds up nicely.
Skin type I here - always burned, never tanned. MT-II changed that completely. Developed a real base tan for the first time.
Loading phase was straightforward following the guide. Tan appeared gradually and looks completely natural. Excellent product.
Mild facial flushing and some freckle darkening - both expected. The tan itself is even and holds well on maintenance dose.
Started before a winter holiday and arrived with a base tan. Minimal sunburn risk now. This product delivers on its promise.
Works as advertised. Low dose start is essential - I learned that from the product page. Morpho documentation is helpful.
Fourth order, always reliable. The maintenance dose keeps my tan year-round with minimal effort. Best EU supplier for MT-II.
